The State Commission Assessment Panel (SCAP) is appointed by the State Planning Commission to undertake assessment functions on their behalf.
The SCAP consists of six members with planning and development expertise who are appointed by the State Planning Commission.
On 1 August 2017, the SCAP assumed the functions, powers and duties of the former Development Assessment Commission (DAC) on 1 August 2017.
The State Commission Assessment Panel (SCAP) is established under the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016.
The SCAP independently assess and determine certain development applications in South Australia, as delegated by the State Planning Commission.
