Draft Historic Area Statements and Character Area Statements for the Phase Three (Urban Areas) Planning and Design Code amendment released for consultation

The State Planning Commission has released a series of draft Historic Area Statements and Character Area Statements to support the draft Planning and Design Code amendment for Phase Three councils (urban areas) currently on public consultation.

Historic Area Statements and Character Area Statements for Phase Three

The State Planning Commision has prepared draft Historic Area Statements and Character Area Statements for Phase Three councils (urban areas) which are on consultation from 19 December 2019 to 28 February 2020.

Historic Area Statements provide detail for areas affected by a Historic Area Overlay in the proposed Planning and Design Code.

Character Area Statements provide detail for areas affected by a Character Area Overlay in the proposed Planning and Design Code.

The statements currently on consultation apply to 28 Phase Three council areas which include:
